Through Every Door

My The Ten Thousand Doors of January Story

This story, right around three-quarters of the way through January's adventures, it becomes very familiar. Her journey through these Doors and the ways it changes her life every time is akin to writing a novel. Some of the Doors come easy, are happened upon in the woods, or tucked away in a far away ocean cave. But many come from hard earned concentration and betrayal of her self-preservation instincts.

January makes the brave decisions, the decisions that haunt the rest of us in moments of weighing "the worst" against "pretty fucking bad". She's the emotional and vulnerable hero that we all dream of being in our self-doubting moments. The story that Alix E. Harrow crafted was clearly driven by January's need to write her own story and rip her fate from the powerful men around her.

This book is unique in it's own rights, the story demands to be told. January's journey is an endless supply of stunning prose, attitude, and heart. It was an excellent book to start 2022!
